What counselling can help you with
I offer counselling sessions for adults experiencing anxiety, chronic stress and emotional overwhelm. I also support people navigating body‑image distress, body shame, emotional or compulsive overeating, chronic dieting and restrictive eating patterns. Many of my clients come to therapy to understand long‑standing internal patterns that feel hard to shift.
Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
I work with adults who feel constantly “on edge”, overthinking, tense or stuck in cycles of worry. Together we focus on calming the nervous system, building psychological flexibility and creating more space inside your day‑to‑day life.
Chronic stress
If you are functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside, we explore the patterns that keep you over‑responsible, over‑committed and unable to rest. Our work is structured, practical and grounded in real life.
Body‑image distress and body shame
You may feel uncomfortable in your body, compare yourself to others or carry a quiet, persistent sense of “not enough”. Therapy here is not about changing your body, but about softening shame, shifting internal narratives and building a kinder relationship with yourself.
Emotional and compulsive overeating
Food may have become a way to cope, numb, reward or self‑soothe. We look at what eating is doing for you emotionally, and we work towards healing your relationship with food and body without diets, rules or self‑punishment.
Chronic dieting and restrictive eating patterns
If you’ve spent years cycling between control and rebellion, rules and “starting over”, we explore the emotional function of these patterns and build a more flexible, compassionate relationship with food and yourself.
Self‑criticism, perfectionism and inner conflict
Many of my clients are high‑functioning, thoughtful and hard on themselves. Together we explore the parts of you that demand, attack or shut you down — and we develop a more flexible, compassionate inner stance.
Long‑standing internal patterns
If you keep repeating the same emotional patterns in work, relationships or with yourself, we slow down, map what is happening and gently shift how you relate to your own experience.

Heal your relationship with food and body through counselling
Many adults struggle with food and body‑related patterns that are not eating disorders but still deeply affect daily life.
You might find yourself:
My approach is warm, structured and trauma‑informed. We explore what these patterns are doing for you emotionally — not what is “wrong” with you.
Together we work on:
This is not dieting, discipline or behaviour policing. This is deep emotional work that helps you feel more grounded, more present and more at home in yourself.
This work is available via online counselling for adults anywhere in Australia and overseas.
How counselling works
1. First session
We explore what brings you to counselling, clarify your concerns and identify what you need right now. This is a longer session of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
2. Personalised plan
Together we create a structured, realistic approach that supports your goals and works with your pace, not against it. This is a flexible plan that can be adjusted later.
3. Ongoing support
Therapy becomes a steady, warm space where you can understand your patterns, regulate your emotions and build long‑term internal stability.
